Jade´s tracking route
Contact was lost with Jade, a solitary juvenile, 37 days after the transmitter was deployed. Jade traveled along the perimeter of Golfo Nuevo for 15 days, then left the gulf traveling along the northern coast of Peninsula Valdés to Caleta Valdés. From there Jade headed in an almost straight line over the middle shelf to the southern rim of Golfo San Jorge. Jade last moved east over the continental shelf to the southernmost zone of the Blue Hole, where we stopped receiving satellite positions.
