Aquamarina and her calf remained only 3 days in the zone of San Antonio Oeste after being tagged. They left the area traveling along the coast of Rio Negro and the far south of the Province of Buenos Aires. When close to Bahía San Blas, they back traced their previous route and returned to the north of Golfo San Matías. From there they headed south, passing close to Punta Norte, on Península Valdés, from where they turned southeast until they crossed the continental slope. After 29 days we lost contact with Aquamarina, when she was in the deep ocean basin.
