Granate´s tracking route

While in the area of Peninsula Valdés, Granate left Golfo Nuevo and traveled south along the coast between Punta Ninfas and Isla Escondida, and then returned to the gulf. On October 11, 2022, Granate left the waters of Peninsula Valdés for good. During the 205 days Granate was tracked, he remained over the Argentine continental shelf, in the area between 43°S and 45°S, most likely feeding there. During this time Granate explored the area of the Blue Hole and the far southern section of the continental shelf off Golfo San Jorge. On April 4, 2023 Granate’s satellite device stopped transmitting, recording travels over 16,152 kilometers (10,036 miles).
