Pancho is a young whale that left Golfo Nuevo four days after having a transmitter attached. Crossing the edge of the continental shelf 200 miles from the Patagonian coast he continued traveling east towards the South Atlantic Basin. His satellite transmitter stopped transmitting October 13, when he was 1,200 kilometers from the Valdes Peninsula.

The color of the dots follow a time sequence where the green dots represent the first locations in this period and the red dots the most recent locations, progressing through yellow and orange. The last position, indicated by a red dot with a white border, shows the geographic coordinates and time of reception of the transmission.
